Brian Duggan Print E-mail

Brian is the lead System Engineer for the Global Change Information System. He works on the design and development of the back end of the system, including designing system interfaces, writing code, and building the system. Previously, he worked on the architecture and implementation of the Atmospheric Composition Processing System, a data processing system used for the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) and the Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

Brian has been authoring open source software since 1995, when he worked on scientific image processing at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. He is interested in the development and use of open source software for science data processing.

Brian holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of California at San Diego, and a B.A. in Mathematics/Computer Science and Literature/Writing. After graduating, he taught mathematics in Kenya with the Peace Corps from 1996 to 1998.
