Notes:

Mortimer Adler on the left helped assemble 52 books that he called the Great Books of the Western World. These books included major works of the great thinkers such as all of Aristotle, Plato, and Shakespeare.

With a team of thirty scholars Adler produced a special index he called the Syntopicon which consolidated common "topics" and resolved from all 52 Great Books 102 "great ideas". As shown above this multi-year, million dollar project employed the latest technology, index cards.

This is more than a search engine could do. It is more than Google can do with its use measures. It resembles more what the team of scientists do in order to create the GCMD and the V0 Valids. It is low tech and labor intensive.
