This fact sheet provides an overview of USGCRP's Interagency Crosscutting Group on Climate Change and Human Health (CCHHG), which coordinates, implements, evaluates, and communicates Federal research and scientific activities related to the human health impacts of global climate change.

Climate Change 2014: Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability is the second volume of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and was prepared by its Working Group II. The volume focuses on why climate change matters and is organized into two parts, devoted respectively to human and natural systems and regional aspects, incorporating results from the reports of Working Groups I and III. This publication includes the volume's Summary for Policymakers, Technical Summary, Frequently Asked Questions, and Cross-Chapter Boxes.

This report summarizes discussions from a workshop of users and producers of land-use and land-cover (LULC) scenarios, convened by USGCRP's Scenarios and Interpretive Science Coordinating Group on June 25-27, 2014. The report focuses on needs, resources/capabilities, and barriers/opportunities for producing national-scale, regionally differentiated, and spatially explicit LULC scenarios for the United States. It describes options for agency and interagency activities that would advance this research but makes no recommendations.

Climate Change 2014: Mitigation of Climate Change is the third part of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)‚ÄîClimate Change 2013 / 2014‚ and was prepared by its Working Group III. The volume provides a comprehensive and transparent assessment of relevant options for mitigating climate change through limiting or preventing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as well as activities that reduce their concentrations in the atmosphere.

START, founded in 1992, promotes research-driven capacity building that advances knowledge generation and sharing on global environmental change (GEC) issues, including climate change. This biennial report described START's programs related to cities, agriculture, and adaptation in Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. START is funded in part by USGCRP.

This report highlights eight years of START's Africa Global Environmental Change (GEC) Grants Program, focusing on the significance and development of the program for GEC research in Africa and the major accomplishments of grant award recipients from 2004 to 2012. Research findings featured in this report illustrate the breadth of research and key discoveries supported by the GEC Grants Program (funded by USGCRP).

This document describes areas of future growth for the Global Change SysTem for Analysis and Training (START), including strengthening and expanding trans-disciplinary and multi-sectoral expertise in integrated research and assessment; promoting effective communication between communities of research, policy, and practice; and supporting efforts by universities in Africa and Asia-Pacific to inform and engage society in creating more resilient development trajectories. The Synthesis Report (SYR) of the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) provides an overview of the state of knowledge concerning the science of climate change, emphasizing new results since the publication of the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report in 2007 (AR4).
